SUBMERGE: AFRICA

This two week mission/training trip is only for those that "conquered" STRANDED and have a desire to go deeper. If STRANDED wasn't your "thing" then think twice before applying for SUBMERGE. This training will include far more than workbooks and an outdoor experience, students will be putting their faith to action on the frontlines in some of the world's most avoided places.

Due to the unpredictability of any mission trip this schedule may change, but the current plan is as follows.

PHASE ONE: DARK
Students will venture out to an unreached (dark) area in the bush of maasailand and assist a national in launching a new disciple-making movement.

PHASE TWO: DANGEROUS
Students will come face to face with thousands of Islamic Somalians who are fleeing war and poverty.

PHASE THREE: DESPISED
Students will minister and prayer walk through an illegal red-light district

Students will be constantly on the move during their two weeks in Africa. They should come with an attitude that expects the unexpected, a body that anticipates exhaustion, and a heart that is ready to take risks for Christ.
We are hoping that as students engage in ministry that God will begin to put a lifelong call on some of their hearts. If students wish to continue to receive training following the trip they can apply our final training program called SLINGSHOT.

Destination:

Nairobi, Kenya
This training will require you to meet the rest of your team in Nairobi, Kenya. Feel free to fly with another participant , but that will be your responsibility. You have to book your own flights, get your passport, buy your visa at the border, and get your own shots. Upon arrival a leader from Unusual Soldiers will pick you up and assist you throughout your stay.
