An Unusual Soldier is nothing more than a misfit, radical, or rebel that feels called to advance the gospel in a risky place. They do their best to clothe everything that they do in humility so they may be hard to spot, but here are the three common traits that you will find at the core of every Unusual Soldier.PASSION
Unusual Soldiers love for God, the lost and the suffering is what propels them to action. (Matthew 22:37,38, Romans 9:3, Phil 4, Colossians 4:5,6)- They are fueled by their intimacy with God
- They are burdened for lost and suffering people
- They always endeavor in love and respect of others
- They clothe themselves in humility and integrity in all they say and do
COURAGE
Unusual Soldiers are ready to take extreme risks to see the love and hope of Christ advanced. (Hebrews 13:13, Duet 31:6, 2 Timothy 1:7)
- They focus their mission on dark, dangerous, and despised places
- They are are ready to risk everything in attempt to rescue others
- They don’t panic or break under the pressure of conflict or temptation
- The seek to advance God's Kingdom in Humility and Glorify Him in all they do
VISION
Unusual Soldiers have a vision to advance the gospel in dark, dangerous, and despised places across the world. (John 10:27, Acts 20:24, Acts 1:8, Proverb 26)
- They strive to make disciples in areas of risk
- They are led by the Holy Spirit over their own vision
- They are innovators that are always trying new methods
- They are dreamers of the impossible
