One Man's Extreme Faith Challenges Believers to Live More Radical Lives.
From a warring tribal village in Africa to illegal brothels to a Guatemalan prison to a bombed out church in Sudan, Caleb Bislow shares firsthand stories of how God is working around the world. Some see Caleb's life and faith as extreme, but to him, sharing God's love in the most dangerous and despised places in the world is simply living a life of surrender.
With humbleness and even some humor, Caleb inspires readers to step out of their comfort zones and take godly risks wherever they are. Rounding out the book are appendixes of organizations to join or support and specific prayer needs around the world.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Caleb began following Christ at an early age in the sticks of Nebraska. He loved adventure at a young age and spent most of his time at church, drawing, or on his dirt bike. After fully committing his life to Christ, his love for risk on the motocross track soon transferred to his faith. Since then, he has been humbled to advance the hope of Christ on every inhabited continent.
He speaks for FORGE and is passionate about empowering a coalition of Unusual Soldiers to take the love of Christ into dark, dangerous, and despised places. Caleb was trained in survival by British Commandos at the Bear Grylls Survival Academy in Scotland and he also trains a select few students each year in a painful survival/discipleship course called Stranded.
He lives in the middle of nowhere with his wife, Jessica, sons Trace and Asher, and daughter Kaiya. To learn more about Caleb visit www.unusualsoldiers.com.

“A book for aspiring heroes, about real heroes, by a quiet hero”

"The power of a book is in the ideas it proclaims as worthy of our attention and affection. The power of the ideas is in the life that personifies them, giving them a reality beyond thoughts and words. The Incarnation of Christ shows us that God has chosen to most reveal Himself beyond words, through the life of His Son. In Christ, the Word became the Life. As it was with Jesus, so it is with His followers. Dangerous: Engaging the People and Places No One Else Will is not the work of a theoretician, working with noble but abstract ideas; it is the fruit of the life of a practitioner, one more concerned with life than he is with theory. We live in a time when style has become more important than substance. I doubt that anyone would accuse Caleb Bislow of being "stylish". This book reflects the substance of his life, the reality of being fully surrendered, of living out what he professes to believe. It is what this generation so sorely needs. Enjoy the stories, embrace the life!"

If it was not for the author living out the principals of this book I probably would not be alive today. May God bless this book for every person who can read this book.

I need people like Caleb Bislow in my life. His passion, vision and courage have challenged me to put my faith into action on more than one occasion. I believe this book, part devotional, part biography, and part marching orders, will do the same for you. Prepare for God to give you a new perspective, and maybe even your new name.

"Be careful when you pick up this book. The words may change your thinking and cause you to go deeper as a Christ-follower. Whether you have been a Christian for 10 minutes or 10 years, I commend this book to you. Approach it prayerfully and with faith that God will give you the courage and guts to live out the calling he has placed on your life."

If you're looking for a comfortable, safe lifestyle, then Dangerous is probably not the book for you. But, if you want to make a difference in the world, then reading Dangerous is a must. It's impossible to please God without taking risks. Faith demands that we step into the dangerous places. That means we have to face the darkness of danger with the light of the gospel. Then, by faith, we shatter the darkness. Caleb Bislow shares his exciting story of going to the dark and dangerous places and gives principles that teach us how we can do the same. I commend this book to every Christian contemplating surrendering their lives fully to God. We're living in an exciting moment of human history. It's a time when the world can be reached with the gospel. But it will take men and women who live dangerously for Christ. Read and step out in faith. Then, watch what God does.

So many people say the football players I work with are the Hero's of today. Wrong!! God is looking for some brave men that are willing to step out in faith and lay it all on the line, to go all in. Caleb is one of the real Hero's of the faith today that has gone all in. Get ready!! This Book is going to really challenge and encourage your faith.

Personal, passionate, authentic, thought provoking, engaging and relevant. This is a powerful testimony of one mans willingness to answer Gods call to Engage the People and Places that no one else will. There is a clarity that will allow readers to experience the radical, sometimes revolutionary, intention of the bible.

Most of the Olympians and UFC fighters I've had the privilege of training with and doing life with we're simply strong boys who shave. Caleb Bislow is a mighty warrior and he lives out a life that looks very much like the disciples of the New Testament. I'm extremely excited he finally wrote a book! The " reckless" life he gets to live is one to write a library of books over. Caleb is so humble I wondered if he'd ever let his story be told, but because of his humble heart God is bound to get the glory.

“In a self-preserving world often characterized by sight walking, comfort living, and smooth-knee praying, Dangerous is a recall for true Christ-followers to venture by faith with God - wherever and however HE leads. Caleb lives what he writes, his life and words challenging us all to love and risk (eyes fixed on Jesus) – to enter dark, dangerous, and despised places of God’s choosing – whether near or far away. “Dangerous” is more than a challenge; it’s a practical guide to living life in tune with God’s heartbeat for the least, the last, and the lost."

I dare you to pick up this book and walk away the same! Caleb Bislow will take you on a journey, not just of the dangerous places on what he refers to as "The 13th Floor", but also into the deeper places of his heart for the lost and forgotten people in areas we may consider "unreachable" for Christ. Dangerous is a powerful book that I consider to be a must-read for Christians who are longing to make an impact for Christ in the world.

'Going to church, reading your Bible, memorizing scripture are all parts of our relationship with Christ. But, most the time these activities have us surrounded by Christians (can ya believe it? ha). I truly believe and know that Christ wants us to engage non believers. To go to where people have minimal to zero knowledge of God's love for them. Christ served royalty to the town outcast…This book is a challenge for all of us to get out of our comfort zone and trust God, wherever or whatever the outcome.

It is rare that you find the strength in someone to actually risk the safety and comfort ...in attempt to reach those that are the hardest or most costly to get to. I pray that through reading this book, you get a glimpse of the urgency to get the true message of hope and love to those who will be otherwise overlooked or written off as untouchable. I am 100% in.
