COURAGE QUEST DEVOS
The Lord is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. Psalm 27:1-3
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day...
Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Psalm 91: 5-7( NLT) Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Duet 31:6 (NIV) Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Mat 10:28 NIV)
Don't be intimidated in any way by your enemies...
This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. (Philippins 1:28) Do not fear anything except the LORD Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. He will keep you safe. (Is 8:13,14B NIV)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death...
I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (KJV) For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (2 Tim 1:7) The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. (Proverbs 28:1)
Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the LORD means safety... (Prov 29:25 NIV)
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (Psalm20:7 NIV) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Psalms 46:1-3 NIV) Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes. (Psalm 112:6-8) Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (Psalm 91 NIV) Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. (I Cor 16:3NIV)
