Trace will be joining his dad (Biz) and a national team to bless the a tribe formerly known as the “cave people” and a tribe that has been labeled as “untouchables” by local in Nepal. They will also be producing a 6-part Unusual Soldiers curriculum series that will be available online for aspiring Unusual Soldiers around the globe.
A PERSONAL NOTE FROM TRACE
Dear Friends and Family,
I am excited to share with you the opportunity that God has given me. This summer, it has been placed on my heart to go on two mission trips with my dad’s ministry, Unusual Soldiers. The first is to a group called the “Cave People” in the Himalayas and will take place from June 17 - July 1. The other is to the Cheyenne Indian Reservation in South Dakota and will take place July 12th -19th.
MISSION TRIP ONE: NEPAL
This trip will be my first mission trip. My dad and I will be traveling to the Himalayan Mountains in Asia. We will partner with two contacts in the region who are doing work with a low-caste group known to locals as “untouchables.” One group was formerly known as the “Cave people” because they used to live in caves. We aim to help our national partners accomplish their goals of meeting the spiritual and physical needs of these two groups. I will also be videoing a six-part teaching series for Unusual Soldiers while I am there.
MISSION TRIP TWO: CHEYENE RIVER RESERVATION
For this trip, some of my peers and I will be partnering with Unusual Soldiers as well as Next Step Ministries to help the Lakota Sioux on the Cheyenne River Reservation. According to NBC News, this reservation was the poorest county in the USA a little over a decade ago. Our goal is to be a light for Jesus and to meet the tangible, physical needs of people living there by working on homes across the reservation as well as spend time with locals in the community.
These are my first mission trips, so I would appreciate your prayers for our group, our safety, and the groups we will minister to. I’d love to have you consider joining my support team as well.
