When we heard about the devastating flash floods that swept through Nepal, destroying homes, impacting families, and leaving communities in crisis, we knew we needed to do something. Nepal holds a special place in our hearts, and when people are hurting, we believe the Church is called to move toward the need.
Within a short time, three members of our international network mobilized and moved straight to the frontlines. They worked alongside local connections to bring urgently needed supplies to survivors, families, and churches impacted by the disaster.
This is what a *global network is all about. People who are willing to go, respond, and bring help when it matters most.
To everyone who donated, prayed, and helped make this response possible — THANK YOU! Your generosity helped put tangible help into the hands of people who needed it. We are especially grateful that supplies were delivered by ground teams so quickly, rather than waiting for help to arrive from a distance.
This is the heart of UNUSUAL SOLDIERS: going where others won't, standing with those in difficult places, and bringing HOPE, HELP, AND HEALING IN JESUS' NAME.
As we look ahead, we are praying and discerning how we can continue to come alongside these devastated families and churches in the days and months to come.
