WATER Tower IS GOING UP IN TURKANA LAND!

In the Gospels we see Jesus meeting needs before he would sit down and teach. He demonstrated His love before he spoke about His love. I have experienced and seen this for myself the last two years in Turkana County, Kenya. The drilling of a water well has opened the door to share hope and I have seen the fruit of this in trips since the drilling of the water well.  During my first trip in 2024 I was able to dedicate the well drilled by Unusual Soldiers in a very remote area of northwest Kenya. Biz was not exaggerating his description of this area. It is desolate, dry, and dangerous. It is full of desperate people. I was wrecked. I witnessed people drinking out of mud puddles and I realized the need for water is great. On another occasion, a school teacher shared that she did not have enough food for the kids the school started as a result of the water well. I also was told that desperation is so great for food and supplies, that fathers are giving away their daughters (as young as 10 years old!) for marriage so that they receive a dowry to take care of their family. I cannot imagine that kind of desperation and their desire for Jesus is incredible. Last year when I was with this tribe, my heart was gripped with the burden to do something to help these people because of witnessing so much suffering. I came home with a plan to pipe water half a mile (from the existing Unusual Soldiers well) to a school and to build a water tower to help more people in the community. The cost was $6500, which I knew I did not have, so I committed it to prayer. I have never set out to raise money for something bigger than myself. I am pleased to share with several generous donations I was able to raise well over the amount needed! Construction has now started! If possible, with excess funds were are hoping to put up a fence around the school for security and to protect crops from animals.
